各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

教育局局長宣佈全港學校按原定日期開學，暫不提供面授課堂，轉用網上教學。我們在上年度下學期已經有了相關經驗運用網上教學，我們今年如常用Microsoft Teams為同學在網上教學。明年一年級的家長已經在八月二十六日，以小組形式回校、取回相關文件，安裝相關軟件，及聆聽校長及主任們的講解。八月中旬，老師也回校工作，他們需要開會，為同學準備兩份的教材，一份是網上教學用，一份是復課面對面授課的內容。另外，學校也為老師們舉辦多個工作坊，為他們的網課做好準備，很高興蘇校董也回校、指導老師們如何製作高質素的網上教材，為開學做好準備，希望這措施只是暫時性，我們可以盡快與大家見面。

The Education Bureau announced that all schools in Hong Kong will resume classes according to the original date. There will be no face-to-face teaching as schools will be using online teaching instead. Our school has ample online teaching experience since the second term of the previous academic year. This academic year, we will continue to use Microsoft Teams as our online teaching platform. Our new P.1 parents came to school on 26th August in groups to collect related documents, download the required software and listen to explanations of such arrangements provided by the School Principal and senior teachers. In mid-August, teachers came back to school to work and prepare for the new school year. They had various meetings, and had to prepare two sets of learning materials for students. One set is for online teaching, the other set is for face-to-face teaching when classes resume. In addition, our school has provided lots of professional development workshops for teachers to equip them with the skills for online teaching. We are grateful that our school manager/former principal, Mr. SO came to school to teach and guide teachers how to produce high quality online teaching materials. We hope that these arrangements are just temporary and we hope to see you face-to-face soon.

希望各位家長及同學要明白，網上的學習因疫情而產生，但這樣也提醒我們，這個也可能是往後的其中一種一學習模式。這種範式轉移是重要的，而且要提升學生在資訊科技的素養，因為日後這個網上學習模式會變成持續性發展，例如：用作補課、長假期的聯系、病假的一些補替或專題研習等。

We hope that parents and students understand that online learning is due to the epidemic, but it also reminds us that this could be one of the learning methods in the future. This change of lesson delivery is important and it also improves students’ digital skills development. In the future, online learning mode will develop sustainably, for example, online learning will be used for revision classes, connection during long holidays and sick day substitution or individualized study purposes.

各位同學，我相信今年的開學禮是由史以來沒有試過在家中舉行開學禮。你們成為了歷史性的一刻，我為大家準備了一些小驚喜，九月一日大家在網上開學禮便會知道，九月一日上午9：30見面！

Students, I believe our School Opening Ceremony this year is going to be something you have never experienced before. You will have our School Opening Ceremony at home. This will be a historic moment for you. I have prepared some small surprises for you, which you will find out on 1st September at our online Opening Ceremony. See you at 9:30am on 1st September!
